Costa Rican birds come to the castle to pick the many native fruits we have planted and to refresh themselves.
Many birds are already viewable on the premesis.
Costa Rican eagles fly high in the sky. Sometimes you can see three or four at a time.
Some of the prettiest sounding songbirds gently awake you in the morning, like this little mozotillo.
While hiking our cloudforest roads, you will spot magnificent surprises.
Different Costa Rican wild birds will visit the castle at different time of the year, like the green mountain toucans and this Motmot.
Little animal souls live in our outside garden, protective walls.
An etymologist's Costa Rican paradise. Many unique and strange butterflies and moths live within these mountains, some as big as your hand.
Wonderous, little creatures appear if one will only stop and observe. Like this Cypress Caterpillar.
Branches of encino and oak trees in the cloud forests close by.
The area is filled with beautiful cultivated and wild flowers, like this passion fruit flower.
Many bromeliads and wild orchids.
Of course the highlight are our Costa Rica mountain views.
Costa Rican rainbows too numerous to count.
Uncontaminated Costa Rican moonlit nights.
